Dutch Cup match between Ajax and AZ Alkmaar, who canceled last Wednesday after a spectator ran on the field and tried to attack the AZ goalkeeper Esteban Alvarado, will be repeated in a closed session on January 19, it was announced the Dutch Football Federation (KNVB) said on Wednesday.
The incident on December 22 that resulted in Costa Rica goalkeeper was red carded for kicking twice supporters, who then escorted out of the field by police.
AZ coach Gertjan Verbeek led his players off the field following the incident to complain about the lack of security in the Ajax Amsterdam Arena stadium.
