Mother of Diego Maradona, Dalma Salvadora Franco or known by the name of Dona Tota has died at the age of 81 years, Sunday, November 20, 2011 after suffering heart disease. Hospital sources said Dona Tota has been undergoing intensive care at Los Arcos Hospital in Buenos Aires since Friday, November 18, 2011.
Maradona, who has coached the United Arab Emirates, Al Wasl straight home to Argentina after learning his mother was hospitalized. Male 51 years old was accompanied by his sister and also his youngest daughter Gianina Maradona, who is the wife of Sergio Aguero.
Dona Tota had a history of hospitalization in the past. In 2003, she had an accident. Then in July and August of this year she spent time in the Suizo Clinic in Argentina because of complaints suffered in her heart.
In honor of the death of Argentine legend's late mother, for one minute of silence was conducted in Argentina League match between Independiente and Olimpo.
